Dear Esteemed Colleagues

On behalf of the Asian and Oceanian Association of Neurology (AOAN), it is my great pleasure to welcome you all on the occasion of 16th Asian Oceanian Congress of Neurology (AOCN) which will be held at COEX, Seoul, Korea from November 8-11, 2018. COEX is at the heart of modern cultural center of Seoul, and will offer a fantastic opportunity for academic and cultural experiences. Korean Neurological Association, the Local Organizing Committee, has the experience of hosting the most successful AOCN in 1996, and is preparing the most exciting scientific and social programs.

The landscape of neurology is becoming more dynamic and continually evolving so that the catchphrase of this meeting “Exploring New World of Neurology” is quite timely. The scientific and educational program with more than 183 faculty members will be rich and colorful discussing the latest issues and advancements in neurology. Scientific advance- ments have historically connected people from different parts of the world working together to improve the human condition. Therefore, there will be sessions discussing regional issues. Another unique feature of this symposium will be offering many sub-specialties the floor to come together in this age of over-specialization.

We expect that more than 1,000 delegates from different countries of our region shall be participating in the conference. Travel grants and scholarships shall be awarded to the young neurologists from the resource limited countries to attend this conference.
